Samantha is a Marriage & Family Therapist Associate who provides therapy for children and teens who struggle with separation anxiety, social anxiety, bullying, school anxiety, and those who demonstrate a pattern of anxiety-related school absences. A committed Christian, Samantha is devoted to providing care that is not only consistent with Christian values, but focuses on the power of life struggles to grow and deepen spiritually.
In addition, Samantha also specializes in the treatment of anxiety related to life-threatening allergies and anaphylaxis. Living with life-threatening allergies to peanuts and tree-nuts, Samantha is passionate about equipping families to effectively manage the thoughts, emotions and life changes that accompany life-threatening allergies.
Samantha Griffitts holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Psychobiology from Centre College, and a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where she studied under Dr. Eric Johnson, Christian Psychologist, and Dr. William Cutrer, MD. Samantha is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, the Society for Christian Psychology, Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE), the International Bullying Prevention Association, and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.
Samantha provides therapy and Christian Counseling to persons and families out of our offices at KPMHS.
