Monica Clark is a Licensed Psychological Associate who serves as a therapist with NextStep. Monica has over 10 years of experience providing skilled, compassionate care to children, adolescents, and adults.

Monica graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia and began practicing as a Licensed Psychological Associate in Kentucky in 2017.

Monica specializes in treating children and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and symptoms related to trauma. She is also experienced in working with adults and finds working with individuals of all ages rewarding. Monica utilizes a range of techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solutions-focused therapy. She is trained to provide specialized treatment using Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, EMDR Therapy, Trauma Play Therapy, and the Trauma Recovery Empowerment Model. Additionally, she provides parents with training and therapy to assist them in helping their children thrive at home.

Monica believes that clients and their family know their struggles and needs better than anyone. As such, she is very flexible in altering her approach to help her clients reach their goals. She adheres to a strengths-based perspective and believes that all people have the capability to be successful. Monica focuses on creating a safe and caring environment for her clients and offers a supportive hand to help them reach their goals.
